Ale and Totnes

I had another surprise party invite yesterday so instead of a night of detox (which is very much needed) I ended up going to a beer tasting meal. This involved going to a lovely little place in Chelsea with tobacco walls and conker wood bars. Upstairs is a delightful dining room that is the perfect mix of opulence and faded glory. With every course we had a special ale or beer designed to compliment the food and add something to the experience, some were better than others but I found the honey flavoured one very nice and beer and cheese is an amazing combination.

I met a few new contacts and a rather lovely P.R. girl with long wavy blond hair and a fantastic profile who happened to be from the West Country, she was awfully nice and has invited me to afternoon tea at a place on Bond Street on the condition that I wear a cravat. This doesn't present a great challenge to me, I think I may get a new one to mark the occasion.

This rather pleasant girl (now the Girl from Totnes) emailed me this morning, so we might even go for some drinks before the event at tea time. She had a very pleasant habit of using my name when talking to me, although she does smoke.
