Strange Day.
Sometimes you just have a day that ends of going in a direction you never expected. I like these days, and yesterday was a shining example.
At about lunch time I got an email from a girl I met at a party, a week ago or so asking me to another party at a rather well known strip club that evening, it was some charity do or something. We turned up and the place was awash with suits and of course strippers who were pitching rather hard for business. My date (who I should give a name to really) stated fairly on in the evening that we should get awfully drunk tonight. I always find that this is woman code for 'I have plans for you young man' so I knew the evening would be fun.
At around 8sh they stopped serving free champagne so it was time to move on to the next party, which was a re-opening of a bar. It was rather more glam then the last one and I drank some very pleasant cocktails while being photographed for a supermarket tabloid - I wonder if anyone will spot me. I met a wide range of people through the girl who is very much part of the social scene. After a while this party got a bit empty, although they were still forcing drink on us and a wide range of snacks - the strawberries with tangy sauce were especially good.
We went to the next club which was a rather airy place full of music types relating to a launch of a DVD. I met the son of someone I had heard of but that was about it. We (the lady and I) grabbed a booth in the corner and started talking about this and that. During this conversation we reached that point when you are talking to someone and your face is about an inch away from theirs. This is the point at which you start to notice sparks or not. We had some sparks, so I kissed her, and then again. Anyway after a bit of kissing and drinking we left and she dropped me off in a cab. She isn't the sort of girl to do anything deeply naughty on the first date but we promised to meet up this weekend, and I think we will.
In other girl news, the work experience girl (this is a new one) made some cakes for me today, she is very nice and enjoyably feisty but has no vices. Having no vices is worrying, I still rather like her and she writes wonderfully.
The girl on the bus was there again, and kept looking at me. If I hadn't been in the mist of an impressive hangover I would have done something. Although I don't know what yet.
The HipHop lady wants to meet up this weekend as well, I already have a stag-do booked in and I was thinking about going down to Brighton to see some old friends. At this rate I am going to need a P.A.
